Jeil Trading announced that it participated in the "2025 Korea International Construction Safety Expo (Korea International Construction Safety Expo 2025)," held from September 17 to 19 at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, where it showcased its eco-friendly de-icing agent "Jeil 3+." The expo was sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and hosted by Gyeonggi Province, with over 560 companies participating to present a wide range of technologies and products in the field of construction safety management.

Jeil 3+ has obtained both the Environmental Label Certification and Performance Certification. According to the company, it was developed to address recurring issues associated with winter de-icing agent use, including road and vehicle corrosion, soil and water contamination, and airborne dust generation. The product utilizes oyster shell waste — of which more than 280,000 tons are generated domestically each year — as its primary raw material, contributing to resource recycling and environmental conservation.

A Jeil Trading representative stated, "The performance of Jeil 3+ has been verified through testing. According to tests conducted by the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR), Jeil 3+ demonstrated approximately three times the ice-melting performance of conventional de-icing agents at -20°C, and more than 25 times higher performance under extreme conditions of -30°C. In addition, the oyster shell components enhance surface friction, improving skid resistance. Strengthened cohesion reduces airborne dust generated during application by more than 27%, and the product's chloride ion diffusion suppression effect lowers the likelihood of road and vehicle corrosion."

The representative added, "There are economic advantages as well. Reduced application frequency lowers maintenance costs, with actual figures showing approximately an 18% cost reduction per square meter — a benefit that can help local governments and public institutions execute their de-icing budgets more efficiently."

Jeil Trading further noted that Jeil 3+ is a de-icing agent that achieves both performance and eco-friendliness simultaneously, and that the company intends to support public institutions and local governments in achieving safe and sustainable road management through the utilization of waste resources and the realization of a circular economy.
