Jeil Trading announced that it participated in the "2025 Korea Construction & Safety Expo," held from September 17 to 19 at Exhibition Hall 4 of KINTEX Hall 1 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, where it showcased its new product "Freeze Off Coat" — a solution capable of simultaneously preventing and removing road icing. The expo, sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and Gyeonggi Province, is Korea's largest specialized construction safety exhibition, with over 560 companies participating.

Freeze Off Coat is an ultra-thin road anti-icing surface treatment co-developed with Japan that can be applied directly to asphalt or concrete roads without removing the existing surface. Its effects last for approximately two years or more after application, and it can be tailored for use in icing-prone sections such as sharp curves, intersections, tunnel and bridge approaches, and elevated roads.

The product works by applying a combination of antifreeze agents and resin components to the road surface, lowering the freezing point of the pavement to as low as -5°C. This prevents surface icing and facilitates the easy separation and removal of snow under vehicle traffic, eliminating the need for pre-application of de-icing agents and significantly improving emergency response capability.

According to Jeil Trading, the key features worth noting from the perspective of public agency officials are as follows. In terms of safety, the product enables proactive response even to sudden snowfall or first snow of the season, and effectively prevents black ice accidents. In terms of environmental performance, it uses non-chloride components instead of chloride-based materials such as calcium chloride, reducing metal corrosion and road damage while minimizing soil and water contamination. In terms of economic efficiency, it can be applied directly without removing the existing road surface, lowering construction costs, and its long maintenance cycle improves budget utilization. In terms of installation convenience, it is applicable to both asphalt and concrete roads, enabling broad use regardless of road type.

A Jeil Trading representative stated, "Freeze Off Coat goes beyond simply replacing de-icing agents — it is a product that can contribute to establishing a proactive preventive management framework," adding, "We plan to transparently provide technical data to help public agencies and road management authorities respond to the Serious Accident Punishment Act and the evolving safety regulatory environment."
